Hi there... i have a problem.. i added a few vehicles to my map.. but when running the instead of an armored car i got a stupid race car..



Can anyone help me on this...

Other thing... after doing ESCape on a added model i cant select it again... how can i do it?

It's not a race car but a mixture of models.

Happens when the model you want to use doesn't exist (either at all, or it's only for SP or MP) or you entered the key/values wrong.

if you click on the model you loaded into radiant. the one that is a race car in your map and press the "n" key, that will bring up the entity editor. in the fields box below you will see

classname misc_model
model xmodel/whatever
origin a bunch of numbers

what you need to do is click on the classname, that will load the classname into the key field and the misc_model in the the value field. then what you do is change the misc part of the misc_model in to script_model. then recompile. that should fix your racecar problem

You said you added vehicles?? Could be as simple as "xmodel/jeep_canopy" ... compared with
"xmodel/jeep_canopy_static"

The trick here with vehicles is to use "STATIC" models for Multiplayer.. as these have NO moving parts, the vehicles without "static" in the name are for singleplayer use and wont work unless they are a script_model.

Thanks for the replys.. but for some reason i cant select the models or lights... is there a special way to re-select those items?

LShift + Left Mouse button


If this does not work check the button to the top right of the tool bar (an "E" with a line through it: "Disable Selection of Entities" - it will say when hovering the mouse over it) is not selected.
