ok, i set up my gradiant exactly like it is explained in the Cod Uo Mapping tutorial titled "Setting Up Your Editor Part 1" i believe...that was the title.

and well...

my models are NOT there, when i right click on my 2-d screen, i get

actor >
ammo
mp >
mpweapon >
weapon >
worldspawn

as options...nothing with my models...could some1 plz tell me how to fix this?[banghead]

remove all non-stock pk3 files from your \main\ directory

you have mods that are conflicting with the map editor (PAM is bad for this, as are others)

ok i did that, except many of my texture's in my map were unable to load and were set to default...

should i have moved thsoe pk3 files somewhere instead of deleting them? (i still got em in my recycle bin).

you could have just moved them - then moved them back when you are done mapping.

the reason that you have missing textures is because you used textures from other peoples maps (one of the reasons that you should map with a clean install) and now you have to figure out which map(s) you used textures from - then contact the author and ask if you can use his/het textures - and give credit in your readme - and include the textures in your pk3 file....or you can just use the stock textures...

i understand

except there 2 things that don't make sense with what you are saying and what i am seeing.

#1: i tried deleting all of my pk3 files in my /CoD/main/ folder, i launch gradiant, but was still unable to locate my missing models.

#2:The pk3 files i believe you are talking about include my downloaded custom map (pk3) files, except those aren't located in my main/ folder, they are in my uo folder(i nvr dowloaded any pk3 files from cod gaming as far as i know)...so does that mean i need to move these files?

i have several pk3 files in my main folder...pak0.pk3....pak1.pk3....etc....but i believe these are stock files.

yes...actually if you look in your uo folder you will have custom pk3 files that will need to be moved....all will work well after that likely

i have removed all the files that i know to be non-stock pk3 files from my main/ and uo/ directories. i still do not have access to any more models than before. is it possible i did not delete all the right files? i have listed the pk3 files remaining in my main/ and uo/ folders

when you say main/ and uo/ does that include files that pk3 files that may be in folder which are in main or uo? or just files directly in the main/ or uo/ folders?

also, as I said before, I set up my models and folders exactly how it states in the uo tutorial "Setting up the Editor" on this website.

i assume that you are following this tutorial start to finish?

i still have the belief that you have a mod in your resource folder that is affecting the editors behaviour

well i followed that tutorial exactly.
when i launch gradiant, those files i listed are the only ones that load, no non-stock pk3 files.
could there be custom pk3 files in another folder other than my main/ or ou/ folders that is conflicting?

any other problems that could be causing this?
