Found a VERY step by step tutorial.
Need some experienced advice. The tutor makes his first patch quite small 4x4 small squares with 15x15 res. That seems a bit miniscule to me. I'm looking for the largest size that would give decently natural terrain flow. One big blue square? I tried one with this and it seemed okay for what I have in mind, gently rolling hills.
What do you experienced gurus think?

Go Here. Lesson 4 by Majorpainz. It's actually a CoD2 Tut.
The format is annoying. I had to download Irfan and plugins, and had to continually be hitting play and pause. Worth it, though. Very detailed.

Nuts, I'm having trouble inserting links. I have no idea where this 'Null' stuff is coming from. Heh, hope you can just copy/paste and get there.

You can find the modsonline tutorial on terrain here at:

Yep, I saw that one. It got me started, but since it was for CoD, I think, the interface looked different. The one I linked above is done for CoD2 and is much more detailed.

Um, BTW, I still could use some advice on size of patch for 15x res. I'm thinking that one blue square would work for gently rolling hills. Yes?
