well pretty much, look this image:


now i searched the net over and over for this, i tryed making my own pk3 with the texture in it (called: wood@cratepile2b_snow.dds ) but in an nonpure server it didnt show up? :S

please if anyone know how to get this working in my public server i would be verry thankfull :bowdown: :bowdown:

now, im guessing that you want a different texture for the crates...

make a pk3, name it zzzzz_crate_texture.pk3 or somthing (make sure you have some zzz's at the start)

in the pk3, put a folder called 'textures' in, and in there a folder called 'crates' and put the texture you want in there, the texture names should be 'wood@cratepile2b_snow.dds' and 'wood@cratepile2a_snow.dds'

wood@cratepile2b_snow.dds is 2 sides of the crate and
wood@cratepile2a_snow.dds is the other 2 sides
(the top is snow)

textures can be in jpg format, just make sure the size is a multiple of 2
(256 x 256 / 512 x 512 / 1024 x 1024)

btw, whats that ABC thing on the wall???

that abc thing is what i mean.. it looks like they used a script that overlays the pic on the walltexture... so i was hoping someone knows how to do this

its prob a script, but it doesnt replace the wall texture, cuz otherwise it will replace all the walls

but, i dont know how to put it there /=

most likely it's a spawned brush or model, with that texture on it.

Open the .pk3 file for the map and see what's inside.

its a stock map, mp_harbor
have a look at any mods you downloaded from the server

it was from ABC clan movie i saw it in there and on their forums i saw a compo wich they where gonna decide wich one to use

Dude, maybe this is it:
They just edited that thing in the movie? I mean, you can
do alot of things with those film-editing programs..
You never know sure, so maybe you should ask the
guys from that clan?

i have emailed the clanleaders and awaiting their return awnsers.. but i thought maybe u guys could help me and be faster this way (since they are long offline from xfire)
