are we talking sp or mp. A good mp mod gives you less ammo for weapons, a slower run speed, shellshock from nades, possibly mortars, a cook function on nades, new sounds, gore (but not exploding heads thats just stupid)

sp mods should give you better allied ai so that your side will actually kill some of the enemy, change the values in the lockhit table so that enemys an allies die more easily, more realistic sounds, less ammo when you start, blood

the best thing if you can't mod yourself is to get as many sp mods as you can then open them with packscape and mix and match until you have one pk3 for personal use that really changes the feel of the game

essentially a good sp mod makes the game more realistic where as a good mp mod makes the gameplay more tactical like the slower run speed which means you have to think about staying undercover because if you jst run through open areas you will almost certainly die. its great for pavlov for instance because you have to move from one building to another as a team because it you go one at a time your gonna get shot.

just check out the mods on this sight and get as many as you need to get a good selection to play with. Just remember if you ever want to release a mod using bits of other peoples that you need to get there premission.

It's only a mod which make it camper easier to kill other players on the server!

Maybe it's better like the MG42 in Wolfenstein ET...

Heat of Battle!
It's fair enough to change details of weapons, sounds and blood etc. but HOB changed the rules, and made a whole new game out of it.

a slower run speed,

Slower than it already is? Cabn't see the point in that.

A good thing, however, would be to fix how the weight of the weapons slow you down. Now, you can carry all sorts of weapons, but as you all know, if you switch to pistol, you run faster, even though you might carry 2 machine guns.
