ok, i made a .arena file for my friends map rite.. any way, it didnt work, so i went to find out wut the problem wuz, sent it 2 a couple differ ppl think'n it wuz just me. i wuz wrong, my friend told me to go n2 notepad and delete the 2nd "" after 1 of em, did it, but now it is stuk n a .txt file, i tried to rename it as a .arena file, but w/ no luck, wut now??? if i redo the arena file it is still a .txt file =( [sick] :puke: :cry: :ohwell: :mad: :2guns:

open up the txt file in note pad, go to save as, click on the drop down menu, and change text doctument to all files
Now name the file "mybspname.arena"

ok, i tried it, it says it was an .arena file, but it was n wordpad, i tried it, but it didnt work =(

you can also use Codbuilder for making arena files

yes you can make one in notepad, or any text editor u have.

just type this in and change it to suit your map

{
map "name of bsp"
longname "name of the map"
gametype "what game types the map supports"
}

save it as a .arena file

yea, ok, it made the arena file, but it still is a wordpad doc!!!!
it wont work!!!!
shud i just hav my friend do all of my .arena files???

save it as "name.arena" with quotes it should do it
