I would like to add that I was a community mod map maker for 2 years and I saw a post just like this one, answered the Acitivison website, and I have now been working here for a year. It is a great company to work for with many benefits for qualified people. I worked on Call Of Duty 3 and it was a great experience.

The offices are in Santa Monica, Ca. (near L.A.)

Thanks, Dave Harper (*RAKEKNIVEN(MTL)*)

If I don't get hired at IW, I'll toss my luck here.

Please do, and let me know in the forums if you are hired or not. i would also like to state that the requirements are not written in stone, they will test your ability to make maps opposed to how much education you have. Something to think about.

I'll be teaching Game/level design next september.. and that's through showing my current and old work, never even touched my education.

Not that I will apply for this job as it's in another country, but for others:

Can people still give it a shot if they present a portfolio of their work and acheivments in whatever category they are after? Or will it be entirely based on education?

----
Quick note: I know people with much better grades than me, and they gave up at the first hurdle on animation programs, scripts and level editors, its not all in the grades.

hey bud one question I am 15 and i do a lot of mapping and modding lol this might sound a bit funny but could they employ some one like me.

I am willing to do anything in animation or level design.

"I know people with much better grades than me, and they gave up at the first hurdle on animation programs, scripts and level editors, its not all in the grades." I agree someone with high grades can be smart but it does not mean they are dedicated like other people will be.

I am not the one that hires, however, they do hire you on what you can do, not what your grades look like, at least that is the case for me.

If interested, I would send a resume with examples of your work, that may be all it takes, but don't quote me on that.

Not sure on the age, I would think 18 is minimum though.
