Wat do i have to do exactly to test maps cause wen i go into teh game and start a new server it is there but an error comes up -Cannot load map-the server doesnt have that map-

have you compiled your map?
have you turned pure off?

yup compiled and pure is set to no

ok - one question then....are you trying to load your map from the command - or are you using (created an arena file) the selection menu?

if your map loads by bringing down the console and typing map yourmapname but doesnt start when you click on yourmapname in the selection menu - then the problem is with your arena file...check for extra quotation marks or typographical errors

this is wat im doin
i create an arena file den i go into the game star server...then i go to select map and it is there and i clik on it and press start and thennotin happens so i select a diff map go in play call a vote 4 my mqap and it says the server doesnt have it
so if i went to the game and drop down console and see wat happenes and then ill tel u

okay i did that and it said couldnt find map _______ (NAME)

it sounds like your maps .arena file is incorrect...check it for errors...make sure it is pointing to the right file (yourmapname) and that there are not any typo's in it (i have seen them with an extra quotation mark in them - second line)

Now thats wat it says

are the paths that your map in correct?

move the pk3 from the main for now

create a folder in cod/main called maps
in that folder create a folder called mp
put your bsp and any gsc's for your map in there

now create a folder in cod/main called mp
put your .arena file in there

start a server with pure off

bring down the console and type map yourmapname

if that works then it is most likely a bad directory structure within your pk3
