Hello,
We are trying to make a map based on Warsaw Ghetto. Would it be possible to make ash fall from the sky instead of snow like in Schindler's List? I have looked and am unable to find anything. Can some1 please tell me how to do that and script it so I could have it falling from the sky everywhere outside and not just in one spot.
Thank you.

Thank you.
After looking the only thing I can think of doing is altering the .iwi stock snow image file and turn that grey thru photoshop and then maybe add it to the maps fx folder and script to add snow?

I dont know if these would work or not but worth investigating. I think these maybe for cod not sure about cod2 or even where they are stored.

dirt2.efx // A small column of grey dust with a few small gibs that disappear before reaching the ground

dirt.efx // A very small poof of dust with a small column extending through it with a few small dark gibs that disappear before reaching the ground

dust.efx // A column of black (smokelike) dust

Using rasta's rain script would do this, using a custom fx file.

You could open the snow fx file in notepad (what I do) or in the fx editor (which I don't know how to use) and try changing the colour of the shader. I was able to make different coloured lights using this technique, so I'm guessing that it'll work in your case. The colour parts of the fx files are defined by RGB - so look for them.

Oh - and to get the decimal values for your colour - use the radiant color picker (k)

Make sure you don't overwrite the original! You'll need to include the fx file in an fx folder in your iwd when you release it.
