i tried to move the vertises to cover the holes, but it kept overlapping the tunnels ect, whats the best/easyest way to cover them up neatly?

You should be able the weld pairs or vertices together without collapsing the tunnel.

To weld two vertices together on adjoining meshes, select the two meshes then press V, zoom in close to the two vertices your wanting to link together, select the first vertice that will stay in it's position, then hold control and select the other vertice on the other mesh and hit Ctrl/K, the second vertice selected will move to weld with the first, and should close up your gap.

Or if you for some reason can't weld them, then why not just place another simple mesh over the hole and shape it to look like a rock. Be careful you dont make the mesh too complex or you might have problems with compiles.

Sync Every Frame = No (in options > performance)
and \com_maxfps 1000 in console

i had a quick go, but the tunnels don't have enough vertises (or watever the little dots r when ya press V) to make a good join [ohwell]/=
