All of a sudden when going through my textures I get this come up and it just exits.. To be honest I am getting extreamly fed up of this sort of thing. Have gaming companies heard of the word TESTERS.

Jeesh radiant is the most awefull program I have used.

It's not just this texture that it happens to. It comes up for loads of em and this is on a fresh install of Cod2 and radiant

I would try reinstalling radiant. Make srue you have no mods or custom maps in your main folder.

wow, ok, you use a program that you dont know how to use and say it sucks. are u kidding? thats the first error people get and you get a pissy about it. also, modsonline has a search button, type in your error and press search.

now for your error. just move the custom maps out of your main folder.

Have gaming companies heard of the word TESTERS.

-have you heard of searching?

First off, Rasta, I have reinstalled it like 5 times already with and without maps or mods in my main folder..

And sicsoaringeagle. What gives you the right to speak to me as if you know me. Don't accuse me of not knowing how to use the program. I have used this program for months now and have released roughly 9 maps and assisted others in doing so. In fact, I was one of the first people to release a COD2 map and figure out how to make load screens. Sorry if I don't know every error message but I have researched this and did not come up with any relavent results. So don't tell me I don't know how to use the radiant. OK. I have tried removing my maps etc but no avail.
Whilst researching a similar problem. Some poeple it just doesn't work for. It is bizarre but I can assure you I have tried removing maps and mods from my main. Weather it keeps what I have in there in a tempory key in the registry I don't know.

Its xmas eve....lets have an eggnog or something and chill abit.

Check your temp internet files, temp files, etc to make sure the prog has the room to breath. Maybe something new is running in the background. I agree that radiant can be a *itch once in awhile. Check for things that have changed on your comp if anything. That may be the problem.

Ok everybody calm down a bit. 'sicsoaringeagle', that type of post is more aggravating than useful, comments like that please keep to yourself.

'jackc1990', when you reinstall radiant, do you make sure you uninstall teh old version first, remove the registry keys, restart then reinstall? If not try that.
Also does your game run ok? Because i was thinking it may be you might have deleted a file in your main folder when removing mods or something which could leave the textures missing!?

Thank you,
Yes, I went through Regedit, clearing any entries of Activision as it is the only product of theirs I have. So to answer your question, yes, all older versions have been removed. It is as if the problem is to do with the actual textures themselves. Surely it cannot be a problem with the iw00 - iw15 .iwd files can it? It's on a fresh install which could suggest the game didn't install them in the first place. If my disk is scratched conveniantly in a place where the textures are I suppose when radiant tries to read em it won't work..

Hmmm I will check into it further.

In the meantime, Merry XMas from the UK and have a prospal new year to all.

I wouldn't have thought the game would 'miss out' the installation of a file.

Have you also installed the latest drivers for yout DirectX, .Net and video card? These can cause a number of problems, especially things to do with images etc..

Thank you and same to yourself.

Not sure what else to check. I assume your gfx card supports DirectX 9.0c? Also make suer you have enough physical and virtual memory available before you start the editor.
