Thats really really wierd...
I got that but it was because of maps n mods
Try a full uninstall/reinstall of cod2, and the tools
Other than that I have no clue whatsoever,
actually....try finding that in the images folder of
the iw_etcetc folders...
Not sure where it is though

Are you running anything else with the editor?

By this i mean do you have thing like photoshop, MSN, etc.. Maybe these could be interfering with the editor!

if you uninstall cod2, all files applied afterwards will remain (NOT removed by uninstaller!)

remove them or put them outside of the activision folder and try again!

In most cases, a random or unexpected crash has absolutely nothing to do with the application itself. I'm yet to experience an error with the program.

The problem is faulty textures. More often than not, you have too many mods in your main folder for the radiant tool to handle. It's trying to import so many textures as you scroll that it locks up and in a sense dies.

The solution to your problem is go to in the main directory for your Call of Duty 2 game. The path is commonly:
C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 2\main

If you don't know how to tell a mod name from a necessary file, keep files beginning with iw_ and localized_english. You can delete everything else. Don't worry about hunkusage and all that jazz, those will recreate themselves next time you open CoD2.

So no, the program isn't "tempormental" as you idiotically slandered it to be. The program is just fine, just give it a natural environment to work with.

@ jack

i've had the same thing... how i got around it is when you open the editor go to TEXTURES, then click on Show in Use then click on Show All and it should work again....

this way it worked for me.

Not required.....

You brought up some great tips or at the very least suggestions. You lost it when you made it personal for no good reason. The only real thing idiotic about this thread was your usage of the word.

I would consider false accusations without research not only idiotic, but very impatient.

Thanks guys. To the man who suggested going to Show In use, then Show All, IT WORKED!

Thank you Kleineman.
And as for the other guy telling me how to remove mods etc. If you took the liberty to read my previous posts you will discover that I have already tried it.
