That kind of sucks mate. My ex girl friend is a type 1 diabetic, and she leads a normal life, so with a little more managment than your used to, you can as well :)

I get what you mean. I just had a CT scan yesterday and need to go to a kidney specialist at the hospital clinic tomorrow. It just sucks that its close to Christmas and all. :(

Probably, but I would imagine there is a likely cause for his pancreas randomly shutting down.  Sounds uncouth, but if there's a way for myself or anyone else here to avoid a similar situation by a change in diet or something, I'd like to know.

That's terrible.  Has to be a huge shock.  At least it was apparently caught in time... Though w/ those symptoms I suppose it was only a matter of time...
