I`ve just got it, only played the first mission (got wasted on the second) and I`m quite enjoying it.

Rather than it being like Armada, which is what I expected, it`s like a dumbed down Bridge Commander, with you being able to issue orders to your crew, and other ships in your fleet etc.

Also, the graphics are amazing on my new PC, well, the graphics are on Archers Enterprise, and the Romulan ships (the only ones I`ve seen yet), also voiced by the real Captain Archer.

Skirmish battles last like 2 minutes, because it takes so little hits on an enemy's shield to bring it down.  The controls are weird too, not straightforward flight-sim-ish like Bridge Commander.

In anticipation of it coming out, I played Bridge Commander a lot...it's such a better-made game than Legacy, and I've all but went back to BC now.

Its funny how some can completely love it and others just freak out and burst blood vessels claiming its ruining startrek. lol

That`s the reason alot of people are hating it, they are comparing it to Bridge Commander.

It`s a different kind of game, this is an arcade game whereas BC is a tactical sim.

I stopped playing bridge commander because of of it`s lack of direct control, and the reason I like this.

Define "direct control," because BC lets you order crew members around, OR control the ship yourself...so I don't see what you mean by no "direct control."

hah, we have better ways to insult greg here.

I went to my local Gamestop today hoping to find it, but they only got one copy... and they only got the one because an employee reserved it for himself.

Apparently it's worth waiting for a patch or two anyway.  They really need to add a control configuation panel in-game.

Oh yeah you can, but I always found the battles too slow paced and hard to control. may be just me,but Legacy feels so much better, and gives you so much more variety in missions and controllable ships.
