Well to me, it's basically sim vs arcade game. BC is way more of a sim, where they tried to mirror the series in every way possible, while Legacy is made for a quick trek-based fix that doesn't have to be canon at all. I'm a nerd who needs to have a canon game, so I just didn't like how Legacy was made...especially how magazines and articles tried to paint it as a "successor" to Bridge Commander, when it ends up being a generic-feeling aerial combat game (but in "space"), with trek models that barely resemble the physics, etc, of their canon trek counterparts. If you want a quick, generic console gameplay trek game, go for it. If you're looking for Bridge Commander 2, stay away, or you'll be as dissapointed as me.

I enjoyed BC, but I think I'd probably enjoy Legacy more. I'm not a huge sim fan, and it doesn't have to be canon to be fun.

BC was awesome. We had some fun MP matches back in the day. ("The Morph Maneuver") I'd heard that this was a straight port from the console--->PC, so the mouse is essentially useless. If so, that sucks.

The Morph Maneuver was the first thing that came to mind when I saw Star Trek: Nemesis...heheh.

And yeah, the mouse functions as a mouse-look, but that's pretty much it.

And also fires your Phasers and Photon Torpedo`s, selects options from your Radial Menu etc

I suppose...I just did the very first mission with the NX-01, got bored, and tried a skirmish...then quit.
