Meh. What surprises me is that he actually admits it. What will surprise me even more is if he follows through.

his new approach will be "peacekeeping" (instead of peacemaking) ---> more troops not less

What he really needs to do is get the "insurgent" groups to pick a representative and have a peace talk with him, Iraq, Iran, Syria, and anyone else who this effects.  Then have the US more or less mediate so they can all come up with a way to stabilize the region and get US forces to leave.

However, I can tell you this that Bush has 0 chance to do this.  It's hard to stop hatting, but it's easy to start.  If anything, only a neutral third party should be allowed to mediate or someone whose not a bush supporter.

IIRC they captured a couple of so-called 'insurgents' who turned out to be british military officers wreaking havoc in disguise.

How do you sleep at night?  If I thought like you I'd be scared of everything.  Can't turn on the TV, thats what they WANT me to do!  Can't drink the tap water, I know what they put in THAT!  Use the phone?  You must be crazy, if I want to tell the CIA stuff I'd write them a letter.  Well, if I trusted the postal service I would, but thats another story.....

(for the most part) I play devil's advocate in order to make everyone else a bit more suspicious..

..but you're right I don't drink tap water or watch TV.  so maybe you're onto something
