hi jenny, to put you straight using old ww2 terms, females servicing in royal air force were called wraf, in the royal navy they were known as wrens,as for the army waux i think because it was not a fighting unit

You know - back to Jenny's question - doesn't "sevice woman" sound right for a generic term for describing a woman in one of the armed services?
