Ok, Well I have played SOFII for a number of years, I was ranked as one of the best at Clanbase. I decided to give up gaming for the forseeable future almost a year ago. I pass on my CD Key to a friend. I then decide to start playing again and purchase a new copy of Soldier of Fortune II to my suprise all of the CDKeys with the new copies are the same... I think this is pointless and I am requesting a GENUINE ONLINE CDKEY so that I can start playing on multiplayer again.... having my OWN GENUINE KEY.

contact activision, and ask them why they now only sell one and the same cdkey. I'm curious to know their answer, because they've practically killed the game.
It will probably be about money (lower costs), but people now get forced to do illegal stuff, what they should be able to do legal.
Example: you wanna play with 2 computers at home on a PB server, so you need 2 copies. You would get kicked now for duplicate key, and/or that specific key is probably banned on all servers already too

So yes, you are right, but no, you most likely won't get justice

hmm  every legit copy i bought came with it's own key

if ya buy a copy make sure it's legit , or return it if it does not come with a legit key

contact activision with the name of the store thats selling you these fake versions that all come with the same cd key

dont buy from ebay you'll end up with a copy thats not legit

sof2 was pirated a long time ago

try contacting activision to purchase a real copy

read the license you agree upon installation of the software

one cd key per machine

alot of software has this limitation

like win xp
like  BF2
Like halflife
like quake 3

if you wanna install upon multiple machines , buy multiple copies

how to install the game 1 cd key per machine, while activision only sells 1 and the same cdkey in all cases???

Sorry, that's wrong what i typed. Their lisence ain't bullshit, but the fact that they sell only one cdkey anymore, what is a big help in killing the game.

they do not sell one cd key ..the copies you are buying wherever your buying them from are  not legit copies

hence they all have the same cd key

one key per machine  is a long standing thing in the game industry

you cant go buy hl2 and play it on serveral machines

you cannot buy one copy of bf2 and run it on multiple machines multiplayer

you cant install WOW  with one key and account and play on two machines

activision  still sells the game ..contact them

and no they do not sell it all with one cd key .. every legit copy has it's own individiual key  inside the box

add a year ... i was beta testing this  well before this board was even put up , and i have been here since 2002  on this board

yep i agree, ive purchased 3 copies of SOF2 as 1 got ruined by my wonderful nephew (the little bas*ard) another i lost when i moved house so now im on the 3rd. None of them have had the same CD key.
