If yall remember my PC died a bit ago, just before the board had that long near-death thing. It was my recently purchased (w/o warrenty) 6800GT that had died and I had to go back to my old 9800. But I sent that card back to leadtek and the replacment arrived today! [homer]WOO HOO![/homer] And it's not the exact same card, the other one's cooling system was huge, took up two slots. This one takes up only one. Anyway, just wanted yall to know. YAY!

Nice. I just picked up another 6600GTOC on a whim from ebay and now I'm running dual cards in SLI mode. Next year I'll get somewhere around a top of the line PCI-E replacement card.

PCGamer is different in different parts of the world. Some stuff is exclusive to the US version and others to the European. Vista to me looks just like a rebranded version of XP except with more DRM.

I am very, very, VERY UNinterested in vista. It just looks to me like it's putting WAY too much trust in MS.

If you mean in the thread, I thought of it when Corran mentioned upgrading. If you mean in PCGamer, I'm talking about the bonus 'Holiday' (between Dec and Jan) US PCGamer.

It just got me thinking. I'd like to upgrade soon, but if I do, it'll probably be very basic stuff like a new HD and a new install of XP. I don't really even play games anymore, so I don't have the need (or the cash) for a PCI-X SLI system, or what have you. Vista did look kind of interesting.
