Was there any mention before her last episode that Elizabeth Rohm's character was a lesbian? Because that was, by far, the stupidest way to close out a character.

No.

Actually, that's a little debatable. While there was no overt mention of it, there's a lot of fans that believe there were subtle hints towards it. For one thing, she tended to get very passionate about cases where homosexuality was involved in one way or another. There's also other stories that the line was a joke on Rohm's part that Uncle Jack Wolf ended up liking.

Oh, and yeah, Angie Harmon was definitely my favorite. Far as I'm concerned, the whole badass thing just made her hotter.
