when i pick a server, i get an error message like "sof2mp.exe has caused an error and has to be cancelled" or something liek that then sof quits. i already reinstalled it 4 times, but it still doesnt work.

Well it could be a number of things, so next time you load up SOF an you get the error right it down in its full message an throw that up here so we can get a better picture of what is happening with your game.

delete your sof2mp.cfgs's and restart sof2. search the internet for the file wiser2.exe and check your files. Try reinstalling sof2. Is it sof2 only that crashes btw? try different videocard drivers as well.

i get that warning in both singe player and multiplayer

and Painkiller just freezes when i complete lvl 5

edit: where can i find those sof2mp.cfg's?

2nd edit: the compatibility readme says that sof2 will crash on overclocked systems. i have noticed that my CPU is overclocked a bit (0.46%), could that be the cause of the crashing? (i did not found out yet if my graphics card would be overclocked too)
