Last week, when a cleaning man of a food factory wanted to sweep the floor at the factory front gate, he saw a pile of ants around a corner. He swept it off. But half an hour later, when he returned, the ants showed up again.

He thought it odd and got a closer look! Whoah... he saw a group of black ants and a group of brown ants fighting severely at the corner. Most of ants were dead already, and the remaining ants were still trying to kill each other.

He wanted to stop it so he put some food into the "battlefield". In other days the ants might be interested in the food but this time it simply didn't work!

The "racial war" between black ants and brown ants lasted for 4 days. During which that cleaning man tried to get help from colleagues, friends and passers-by, but on one could find a way to stop the massacre! According to his estimation, at least 10000 ants were killed in the fight. When the war was over and became a surprising piece of news, zoologiests explained, the smell from the food factory coincidentally attracted two races of ants, and they arrived at the corner at the same moment. They detected each other by different smells, and this caused the war!

How does an ant kill an ant, exactly?
