The All New Beer Garden Site Goes Live

There's a lot going on behind the curtains with the Beer Garden. First and foremost I'm happy to announce the launch of the new site. The old site was quite neglected due to how unfriendly the site software was to manage. The new site offers a lot of resources the old site lacked.

There's still a few areas that need to be filled in and I'll be working on getting those going over the next week or so. I also have hoards of files to get into the downloads area. This is probably most time consuming so be patient.

A Call For submissions:
The Beer Garden is currently seeking submissions of news, files, tutorials and anything else helpful for Tremulous, Quake 3, Elite Force or Trepidation. Feel free to use the Submit links to submit anything you feel appropriate. I am particularly looking to fill in the lack of information in the news and resources area for Tremulous.

New Servers
That's right, as previously rumoured, the Beer Garden will be adding servers with new hardware and super-fast redundant datacenter connections via theplanet.com. We'll be moving the Tremulous server over to this new machine. We're also adding full time Quake 3, Elite Force and Trepidation servers. This move is expected to take place on October 9th.

Game Stuff
The Pk3 Repository will be adding a new mirror, be patient while the repository is reworked a bit to support mirroring.

The Beer Garden will also be hosting some monthly server events. More specifics on this later, but I do know The Beer Garden will be doing once-a-month sunday roundups of new maps on the Elite Force & Tremulous servers. As I said more details on this when the new servers go live.

Server Admins
The new forums have private hidden areas for server admins. Server admins should register and shoot me a pm and I'll get you access. We are looking for some nighttime admins on the Tremulous server. If you play mostly at night and can be a responsible admin post on the forums and let us know.

There's still a lot forthcoming.. so stay tuned!
