I'm currently doing a short film. Actually I only started on Wednesday but I managed to get actors (2 which pulled out the day before but I knew that so I had standby ones) and camera people (ended up with 2) and someone to help me edit. I wrote the script, storyboarded and timeplanned everything in a day then I shot everything on Friday at lunch (since I had morning and normal classes everywhere else). Then with the sudden lack of actors I ended up acting the third part out as well as directing it and taking stills.

I'm almost finished despite the loads and loads of problem - drivers, uploading, audio and things like that.

Basically, I need to be finished by Monday. Everything. So I can enter into a short film festival.  

Right now I'm just really tired because my computer just can't handle everything. It's crashed about 15 times today. Unfortunately not always after I've saved it...

Yeah. This is my first film. Anyone else try their hand at filming?

P.S. All you people have made me conform and post at the EF board

you're brave doing that, it's bad enough when i've done wedding photographs, anyway best of luck and get yourself a dual core processor.

I have to say I personally find PC very bad for video editing. I did half my year 12 media film on a pc, before I got completly frustrated with it and swapped to a make, and it was almost hassel free.

Also if you can get your final product on the net, I would like to see it. I allways enjoy student films

Well, life (you know sh*t happens) and people just pulled out because they decided that they didn't want to. You know, just because there is a plan doesn't mean that people are going to follow it. I'm actually usually a writer so this was different - to have to work with people you need a lot more patience.

@ Corridale: I'm willing to bet that it'll be a no, unfortunately. Because I think they are self-conscious enough already AND no one in their right mind would want anyone to see them in school uniform  

I finished it. 7 minutes of footage = 2.5 mins of film. =O
