For the last month or so I would go to turn on my custom pc and it would not turn on.  The computer was plugged in, the switch on the power supply was set to the on position, and the cord was plugged in securly to the power supply (650).  So I would unplug it and plug it back in, sometimes that would fire it up right away.  Once I had to power down the surge protector and turn it back on, that worked.  Now it is completely not working.  I went through my troubleshooting of checking if the connections were right and if the cords were all in.  They were.  The cords are connected to the mother board in the right spots and are secured.  The light of the mother board is also on, showing that the connection is made.  Now, before I see if the switch is just broke or super dusty OR get another supply from best buy to see if the one I have now is faulty, do you have any suggestions?

That sounds to me like a dying power supply. You could try it in another computer, see if it boots it up. Or better, you could buy one of those power-supply testers, hook it up and see if the PS turns on. If it doesn't, then you know it's dead.

Yea, I dont have another spare power supply in my house at the moment.  I was thinking of bridging the connections and seeing if the fan even spins, but I have shocked myself too many times attempting stuff like that.  I think I will just buy another supply at best buy, and if it powers up the mother board I will switch all the parts, but if it does not I will just return it the next day.  Does that sound reasonable?
