Okay, so I just recently became 'legal' when it comes to alcohol. (remember, I don't celebrate birthdays, so no need to wish me a happy one)

Question is, what should I try first?  I'm not a big fan of alcohol, but it's obviously still a novelty, so I'll take suggestions.

So far, I've sipped beer, and I don't like that.  And I had a can of cheap sake in Japan, and didn't like that either.  So I think I'll be sticking to the chick drinks.  Heh.

Anyway, enlighten me, you drunks.

Well, Happy Birthday anyway.

You might try a jack and coke...go easy on the jack at first.  It's a pretty good taste.

If you want to go a little easier, a fuzzy navel (peach schnapps and orange juice) might be to your liking.  It's a woman drink pretty much.  There's also Mike's Hard Lemonade.

First one sounds interesting...

Still sucks that I look so young.  A few weeks back we went to this Mexican restuarant and they had those skanks women handing out samples of alcohol.  They come to our table, and while they're talking to everyone, I'm just minding my own business reading the menu...  Not even making eye contact, but they still have the need to say 'Not yet, hon' or something to me.  This was just weeks ago.
I'm gonna be carded till I'm 45. :(

Hey, I graduated HS at 17 and didn't turn 21 until my senior year in college. :)

A little jack goes a long way for a newbie, so go easy on it at first.  just a dash to see if you like the taste.  If you're ordering one, just say 'easy on the jack' or something.

Isn't that normal?  When are you supposed to graduate HS?

Anyway, thanks for the tip.  Speaking of tipsy, I'm trying to estimate my 'limit' by my experience on my trip.  Things got blurry after 3 cans of sake, one was 7%, and the others were 4%, I think.  I did drink them in pretty quick succession, though.  That had to make it worse.

If your worried about taste, try Bacardi Breezers or Smirnoff Ice or even the Mike's Hard Lemonade stuff.

For harder stuff, Canadian whiskey (like Crown Royal) and coke (preferably Pepsi) is a good mix, or something like a flavoured vodka and Sprite.

Not that I know anything at all about this kinda stuff.

Shouldn't you be the oldest if you miss the ~Sept. cut-off?  I had a friend the same age who was born a month later than me and was a grade behind...

*shrug*

And I'm not taking advice from a 12yr old Canadian kid. :s8:
