If you've never used contacts before, I can't see just using them temporarily as very convenient.  I don't even want to mess with them.  I don't like touching my eye.

Anyway, I may have to solder some paperclip support struts on this sucker...  It's about to get much geekier... :s8:

You know the new type is really flexible and it doesn't hurt...it really is not that bad. You know lots of Japanese people wear contacts. If some hot girl falls for you sans glasses within the next few days you might have to wear contacts  :p

Then there's always laser corrective surgery? Just a tad expensive though.

If she'd be upset over something as stupid as glasses...  Well she'd have to be really hot... :p

Well you wouldn't be able to see very well would you so you might not be able to tell anyway  :p

I can see well enough.  I can still read small print.  I have a very light prescription.

Then again, I could always claim to be blind and that I need to use my hands to 'see' her, like they do on TV. :p

@Harles:  Nah, I'm just getting plain old frame glasses.  I see now that it was the way I was cleaning them that ultimately bent the frame. :(

Soldering is fun and very useful.
I've had to learn to solder back when I was builing/rewireing my guitars.
Never had to do glasses though. I've had contacts for many years.

How long before she found something else about you equally as stupid, and dumped you because of it.

Yeah, if I was a hot Japanese girl, I'd probably stay away from the guy being followed around by a creepy old man too...

lol  Oy.

Anyway, they called me on Wednesday and I picked up my new glasses.  Came much sooner than I thought.  The lady at Sears Optical thought it was funny when I returned my old glasses in about 6 different parts in a ziplock bag. :D

@Stalker:  Please.  I do have some standards. :p
