"PRAVDA" (the former state-run newspaper of the soviet union) is reporting it too: nuclear war will start on aug22. (based on an opinion-peice by one Bernard Lewis* in the wall street journal) *dumbass. ---------- point : wall street journal = PRAVDA yeah. (its all propaganda in the end)

Except...that date is only based on a theory spun off by a reporter. You make a preemptive strike based on fact, not postulation.

Let the Iranians have their danged nukes, MAD stopped the US and USSR from nuking each other, MAD might stop Israel from using nukes on Iran or an allie in some future conflict. (Granted Iran would probaly be the one starting the conflict, but if one side is armed, why cant the other side be) I dont think the Iranians will just 'use' the nukes and I dont think they will give them to terrorists either, they've seen what happens to countries (aka us in the USA) who support 'freedom fighters' with money and weapons only to have it backfire years later. I can however see Israel striking an Iranian nuclear plant, causing what can best be described as a 'radioactive death cloud' which will kill millions and Iran wanting some blood. That I can see, but Iran just attacking Israel for no reason? Not every Iranian is as nuts as the President of Iran, they wouldnt stand for it.
