I started this topic on the QuakeCon forums (username ch!ck3ns) but have recently found these forums.

This might sound cheesy but from the first time I played the full version of Quake 4 multiplayer I have noticed the ability to slide across the ground/floor when you gain enough velocity and crouch while you land (crouch sliding). This is one of the reasons I have begun playing Quake 4 all over again. My friends aren't big into Quake 4 (the reason I haven't played it much) but after playing for an hour straight tonight I think I found a new top game. You may laugh that such a simple small thing can make such a large impact on my game choice but no other game that I know of has this feature.

I am curious as to why this option came about. I would also like to thank whoever designed the crouch sliding ability and whoever hasn't taken it out. (With each patch release I hope this feature is not taken out.) Thank you.

well glad you like it, but dont sit here waiting for somebody from raven to come down from heaven to give you a reply, they dont come down these parts these days.
