I am at my wits end with this one and I dont know where to turn for more help.

Long story shortened... I am a sysop for blue-zone clan, and I recently introduced my mate to sof2, I ordered him a copy of the game from dvduk off amazon, he was banned due to a duplicate GUID by punkbuster, the game looks genuine has a booklet and was sealed. Thought maybe someone had key-genned his cd-key!! So I ordered him a new version only to find it has the same cd-key.
Checking the server logs shows quite a lot of players using the same key!! I need to get hold of a couple of games for mates and I am unable to locate any.
My brother ordered two from an ebay shop...only to find the keys were the same as the ones I had bought off amazon!!
That is 5 copies I know personnally with the same key!!

Please help me.

so you are claiming you know a few different people who bought a few different copies of sof2, and in all those cases they ended up with the exact same cd-key?? sorry, but that's hard to believe

Sure is hard to believe, however buying off ebay wouldn't be my first choice.. but having 5 CD's straight out the box with the same key, doesn't sound very trust worthy..
or could it be that you tryed installing your CD on these peoples computers, and now just overwriting that, but somehow don't replace the cd key?

Or can you honestly say that within all of these sealed SoF2 cases, the cd keys are exactly the same?

No I am not into sharing a copy of sof2 on several machines!

I originally bought my mate a copy from amazon via dvduk. After my mate was banned showing several aliases I returned the software for a replacement!! This showed up sealed, but on opening it, the key was identical!!

It is only because I am a sysop with a clan I have access to guid aliases. This key shows up at least 20 ranging from Spain, Italy, Netherlands to Ireland!!

The other copies of the game my brother ordered were from ebay from a supplier called Startup Software, and these were sealed aswell!!

I have reported these to both Amazon/Ebay/Activision/etc.

I have now managed to get hold of a couple of genuine versions direct from activision via a computer store 70miles away!!

As for buying off ebay/amazon, in the middle of rural wales....your choices are very limited.

Not everyone is crooked out there and out to con software suppliers.    

Any hows it is resolved now!

Bro..this happend to a buddy of mine as well...one of my CO-LDR's has a nephew, so he ordered him a copy from the UK... well his nephew got his best friend involved and the same thing...both had same cd key... also we had an incident where a |Viv| player came in our server and we noticed he had clan status...we're like WTF... checked his guid...same dang thing... becareful what you buy from the UK....
