So I've got my new 6800GT installed and going great but I've noticed one little thing.
Now every time I boot up the little bubble pops up telling me that it's not useing the SLI features of the card.
I am already well aware of this due to the fact that my system doesn't support SLI.
I searched though the settings and under "SLI Configuration" it has an ad.
Nothing more, just an ad to buy another card to take adavantage of SLI.

Yall know how to fix this?

You've got the SLI bridge installed and connecting the two cards correctly?

No, my mobo doesn't support SLI.
I only have one card.

The problem is that every time I boot up the little bubble pops up telling me that it's not useing the SLI features of the card.

OK, WTF!
So there's no option in the nvidia control panel setting to disable the taskbar icon so unchecked it in msconfig but after restarting it's still there in the task bar, I go back into msconfig and see that it's still checked! WTF!!!!

are they manufacturer's drivers, or nVidia reference drivers?

try removing the manufacturer's driver and installing the latest driver from http://www.nvidia.com

I found this: forums.whirlpool.net.au/ thread Which suggests disabling the service. (Start > Run > services.msc)
And has a link too this: forums.nvidia.com thread Which show you how to edit it out of your registry.

Ah, thanks Bjorn,
Good to know I'm not the only one ticked off by this.
To quote someone from nvidia.com,
"How could nVIDIA do such a stupid thing?"
