my misc_mg42 wit codes
model xmodel/mg42_bipod
weaponinfo mg42_bipod_prone_mp
accuracy 0.9

showing and firing in game but when i hold down the trigger it firing for one second and stops firing(fire animation and sound playing) what am i missing

This is what i put in for mg42's
angles 0 180 0
classname misc_turret
model xmodel/mg42_bipod
origin 716 -137 530
weaponinfo mg42_bipod_stand_mp

Hope that helps

By the way dont click on misc/mg42....go to misc/turret

i always fill in: classname: misc_turret
model: xmodel/mg42_bipod
weaponinfo: mg42_bipod_prone_mp

i hope it helps for you, this always works at my pc!

i have got angles origin and classname too(i have tried misc_turret).

Thats exactly what i have;

classname - misc_turret or misc_mg42
model - xmodel/mg42_bipod
weaponinfo -mg42_bipod_prone_mp
toparc - 10
rightarc - 45
leftarc - 45
bottomarc - 30
origin - .....
angles - 0 270 0

This is just a wild gues but does your fps drop very low during the time when u fire the mg42, if so then that might be the problem.

fps drop? i dont know what did you mean. Other MG42s working well (in other maps).

This is the same problem i had, the sprites, anim, and sound were still going but the damage stopped. After about 5 rounds ammunition went off then dirtpuffs and bullet hole decals stopped.

I had this problem when i was testing. When I ran the map on a server with players on it, the problem disappeared.

Are you tesing a .bsp by yourself, or is it a .pk3?
