a house that size around here is $300k.

Housing prices must be insanely low on Saskatchewan.
Then again, I can understand, because its Saskatchewan, who wants to live there? :p

....

I've just looked at a little chart of average home prices across Canada. The real estate is indeed, insanely cheap in Saskatchewan. The average price of a home in May 06 was right around ~$150,000 (conversely, where I live, the average price was $515,755).

Anyway, it's cool to know that the little trade-up game can actually get that big. Though I don't think he should have stopped here. Maybe trade this house for one in a little more desirable location? :D
