Apparently someone video taped a scientology orientation video with a mini-cam and posted it on the net.

I'll be honest, it's ambiguous, sounds like it's a company more then a religion, and pressures you to "by our books" but that half hour could save your life... if you ever find yourself in one of their main buildings being hunted down like a fugitive.

After 30 min. of making claims and telling you how stupid you must be to NOT believe them, I felt this was the climactic comedy point.

This scientology stuff is very amusing.
In the video they sound like all the want to do is sell you on their courses and say little else, and there are people who buy this hooey.

While we're making fun of other people's beliefs, how about those christians, eh?...

Wheezle, while you are correct in that we shouldn't insult the beliefs of others, I draw the line at "For a low low price of $900 you'll learn the secrets of our beliefs.  Books extra."  Atleast the christians teach you for free. And being a priest usually doesn't require you to pay for it, just your own living expenses.
