Hello everyone,


Just bought my second copy of SOF2 as my wife has taken up the hobby, only to find out that my brand new copy of SOF2 (which was sealed in a dvd case and looks completely authentic and believe still is) has a license used by other dozen people on my clan server and is messin up my stats big style.

Can anyone suggest the correct procedure, just dont know what to do!

I need help too....  my second cd is not recognising when I'm installing the game why?
I'm pressing ok after I put it on but NOTHING!!!!!    
If anybody know what's the problem please tell me ....:(

Is the cd scratched? Make sure you clean the cd if it has anything on it.

No everything is good in (my computer)   is opening,....
by the way I copied the base folder maps.pk3 and other files and I was opening the multiplayer console and it's working fine but I still have problem with the Offiicial game SOF2!!!
maybe with my graphic card:  NVIDIA GeForce2 MX 100/200  64 mb.
The game needs to be putted the cd and is inside.
but when I'm opening it's comming this:
"Graphical Settins have been configured to provide best performance. Increasing settings will improve the visual quality of the game at the expense of perfomance."

And after that :
CD check Failure
      "Please insert Disk 1 of Soldier of Fortune II : Double Helix CD to play the game. "

But the cd is inside and I Can open it at MY COMPUTER.  

by hte way I'm going to mu setttings for graphic card and there I have profiles I tried soldier of fortune 2 profile for (Perfomance-quality) and default settings BUT NOTHING.
I can't start the game.

Sounds like something is missing from your problem description.

Your stating that you bought a new copy of sof2, and that just out of coincidence "a dozen" other people are using that exact same cd key on your server??

1. Unless you intentionally relax the guid setting in PB two people can't play at a given time on the server.

2. The likelyhood that multiple people got the exact cd key from a keygen that you JUST bought AND they play on your server is soooooooo tiny that you might as well start playing the lottery.

3. Be sure that your stats parsing software isn't screwing up. Check that the guids match in your log.

Call activision but if your story sounds fishy to me it's gonna be twice as fishy to them. They will go over what you say with a fine tooth comb so don't expect ANY help from them if you can't back up everything you say VERY clearly,

Anyway, been writing to activision, see what they!
