The difference between 16 & 32 is going to be pretty small.
I think the biggest place you'll notice a difference is in textures with transparency. I could easily be wrong though.

It's not your "stupid" copy, the difference is not going to be like jump out at you and bite your face off.
It also may have alot to do with your system, what resolution you're running.
I know from other games, differences like that are easier seen at higher resolutions.
can't say for sure about EF, but it's likely.

if u put it that way then there r a lot of things in elite force which are "less noticeable" at different levels. Same goes for the difficulty levels , i see no noticeable difference between the easiest and the most difficult level. And i was playing on Easy , and the way the borg were flooding me looked like i was on a hard one. Any place where i can easily notice the difference between , different difficulty levels?

lol, erm...

IIRC difficlutly levels also indicate how much ammo you pick up and how much health you can recharge in one go... but its been a long time.

the difference between 16/32 bit textures can be seen best when looking at color gradients. For instance, grey shades on walls can have bad looking artefacts.

I just played through part of the first mission on easy and then on difficult.
The biggest difference I saw was the speed of the borg.
on easy I could just stand there and shoot as the borg slowly lumbered toward me, on difficult they were on me in seconds.
on the part right after you free monro and get the imod you come to a corrador where 2 of your crewmen are being attacked.
on difficult, before I even noticed, the borg had killed the other guy and was in my face killing me.
