can someone tell me why it is that no mater what game i try to join it always tells me that im missing files and the server dosnt offer downloads? how can i tell what files i need so i can actually look for them so i can finally get to play....my god

please help..i upgraded to latest patch..... what files am i missing? i can not join any multiplayer game because it says im missing files. the latest patch had the mappack? how many map packs are there?

Well what kinda error message do you get saying your missing files. Does it give you any hint to what files are missing?

A few questions: 1. Are you using q4 1.2? If not, then you probably should upgrade. 2. Do you have the popular mods? Visit http://www.q4max.com http://www.x-battle.de http://www.planetquake.com/arena and http://gtr.quakedev.com for the 4 main ones you'll see. 3. Have you downloaded any custom maps? Theres a few main ones you're likely to want - phrantic, Better Than Nothing, Galang, Monsoon, Pro-Blip Tourney, and some others. 4. When you get the error on connecting to a server, if you bring down the console (ctrl-alt-keybelowescape), does it give the name of a file or anything else? You can download most maps+mods etc from http://files.quake4world.com/
