STAR TREK ROCKZ! , but..   at the place in the options where we have to increase the brightness bar till we can hardly see the pic in the box ( its a star trek logo ) .. i can't see the pic even if i bring the bar to full ... even if i adjust my desktop resolution to max .. looks like there is no PIC in the box ... check it out in ur pcs!!

well I can see it. Just. Try setting the brightness on your actual monitor higher (the buttons on the monitor)

common fault in the quake 3 engine (which powers ef) you need to edit the config file and add the following

seta r_overBrightBits "1"
seta r_ignorehwgamma "1"

and which/where exactly is the confg file? there were lots of them

not sure where in the confg file but you can set them in game, just hit "~" to bring down the console and type those in. (minus the quotes of course)

what exactly it did to me? my entire game is dark !! even when i increase the brightness bar it remains Dark now .. only the brightness increases for some limit and then it stops!!

and anybody see the logo in the pic i posted?

and one more thing how do we turn off those freakin shadow .. i have shadows on AIR!

hmconfig.cfg (holomatch) and efconfig.cfg (single player) in EFs base folder. Its a plain .txt file so just adj the dialog box to show all files

Yeah, it's a little bug in the engine, changing those those 2 settings will fix it and the birghtness thing should work as it should.

don't know what you're talking about with the shadow.
could you give a screenshot?

^^^ he did scroll up to hisa firts post there is a link and I see it in the picture just fine (I am on a notebook with an LCD at the moment though)

both of them are 1 and its still Dark!

the shadow is flying in the air ..but i guess its normal. how do i turn off ALL the shadows?

but i have a more serious problem .. 2nd or 3rd time when i start ef in my pc , it hangs my entire pc as soon as it starts .. and all i have is a totally black screen with a text cursor ( the one u get when u r over a text or edit box ) and  then i have to reset my pc.

and one last GENERAL thing .. what do u do with Elite Force for so long? i cant play multi game due to my stupid connection so i'am only with multi bots and single player campaign. i'am repeating this campaign  ... what r u guyz doing for such a long time with elite force?

ok i'am editing this thing once again as i found one more SUSPICIOUS thing ... the easy level & the difficult level looks the same. i tried playing the first missions with both of them are i did'nt notice a single different ... can anybody here tell me a place where we can NOTICE any difference between the two levels .. like at a place in easy level there is 1 borg and in difficulty there are 99 or something like that?
