I know <embed> doesn't work in Firefox. All I have on my front page is a tiny sound clip of ocean waves splashing on a shore. Is there any way I can make a sound like this play in Firefox? Any code?

Man, all these people keep telling me "zomg u got sound on ur website i not going there wtf"...it's a tiny, soft clip of ocean waves hitting a shore. It doesn't loop. It lasts about 10 seconds. The only way it's gonna annoy someone is if their speakers are turned up to max.

People don't do that anymore, some people consider it amateurish. But what the he!!, if you want to do it go a head. Some sites have midi sound files, softly playing.

Why does it matter what they consider it?

Because they view your site.
