<embed> tags normally work fine for me, both on your site and elsewhere. Using FF 1.5.0.2, if that helps.

Because, presumably, you want them to view/enjoy your website. I often do have my speakers up high, so I don't appreciate music that autoloads w/ websites.

I'm using 1.5.0.2 I've got weather, zoom, tabs extension... nothing fancy or anything that has to do with sounds. I wonder if there is some security setting you are encountering...
