I just got quake 4 and after about 5 to 10 minutes of playing the game crashes with an exception error. I have updated with the lastest patch, DirectX, video drivers, and sound drivers. Any ideas on the problem? I'm also having crashing problems. The farthest I've made is to the main menu screen and then wham. I get some crazy static sounds and my system freezes! I JUST built my system too so I know its up to the task. Asus A8n32 mobo Athlon 64 4000+ 2 Gigs of Ram Evga 7900Gt Superclocked Audigy 2 ZS I just downloaded and installed the v1.1 patch and after I do some other updating I'm gonna reboot and see if the game works. I'll post regardless of what happens. -edit- No luck still the same problem. I have the latest drivers and updates for everything. Is there something I missed? This is frustrating.

Well hi there, Be shure that you have the latest drivers of your graphic- and soundcard. Then post your exact problem to http://activision.custhelp.com "ask a question". Post with it a resent dxdiag.txt file > to get it : 1) Click on the Start button > Run. 2) In the box type: dxdiag 3) Click the OK button. 4) DirectX Diagnostic Tool will open, click the Save All Information button at the bottom. 5) Save the dxdiag.txt file to your desktop. 6) Login to your account at http://activision.custhelp.com. 7) Click My Stuff and then click Questions. 8) Find your current incident and click on it under the Subject column. 9) Click Update Incident. 10) Under "Attach Additional Documents to Question" you will see a Browse button. Click that and browse your computer for the Dxdiag on your desktop. When you locate the file, double click on it. 11) Once the file appears as attached, you can now enter any additional information about your Incident in the "Results and/or Additional Information" field. 12) Click "Submit Update to Question" to send the Dxdiag I have a similiar problem only with the 1.2 patch Hopefully they can help The Judge
