I've been trying to create a few large patches but they often lose their solidness when they get to large does anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks

Yes , you can move through them, How exactly would I insert that command? Instead of -meta $  -patchmeta $ ?

Doesnt seem to work.

EDIT:

But I seem to have figured a way around it by adding more rows to the patch.

if it's happening because the patch is too large you you could use patch split.
I assume you're useing GTK Radiant(if you're not you should) but anyway, in gtk 1.4 there is a button in the toolbar that looks like this <|>.
it will split your patch into smaller patches.
If that doesn't work, has unwanted side effects or splits it up into more pieces than you want you can join then together with the >|< button.

I had another problem with patch meshes: I couldn't walk through them, but I could place a detpack behind the mesh or fire alt grenades behind it (so they would be "invisible"). I made simple caulk brushes in roughly the same form as the mesh (a little bit bigger even) so the det and grenades will be visible.
