You're no longer protected against virus (if you use NAV) but at least you can get rid of those nasty spywares.  What's the word I'm looking for?  Oh yeah: Ooops!

Better be safe then sorry...  I'll remove MS anti-spyware until I know it won't mess up my PC...

And this is why I don't use beta MS stuff...

Though in all honesty, I haven't even installed SP2 yet. :p

I hate Norton. It uses too many resources and is a biscuit eater to remove. I prefer AVG.

As far as this problem with MS Anti-Spyware goes, take into account that the program is beta. MS wouldn't deliberately do that.

This isnt really news at all, anti-spyware, anti-adware and anti-virus programs have for years been detecting and attacking each other, this is only making it's rounds because it's an MS product attacking the worst AV on the market.

heh, sucks but it's a beta, that's what ya get.
I'll never use M$ antispy and I currently have no intention of ever installing SP2, but that's only because I'm still nursing the wounds from winME.

:s10: I warn people to get rid of Nav, but they have to learn the hard way. NAV is just plain evil. I use NOD32, great advanced Heuristics, it now scans for spyware and it is light on resources.
