Its -=STD=-Mr. Rogers here. You may remember me from my first map, Severnaya Bunker for CoD. I am part of a few people that want to make a 007 mod for this game. My biggest question is, is there a way for me to open up my Severnaya Bunker in the Doom Editor. It just gives me an error right now and exits. I try GTK and its giving me the error of Token Not Found. Any ideas??

is CoD based on a QUAKE engine? doom3 being the equal to a Quake4 engine...

If not, I don't see any compatability...

It's my theary that if the game editor is based on radiant, then you should be able to convert the map. Depending on the version of teh quake engine the how is was changed for the particular game will determin how much work is involved. But still.. it is in some way compatible.

I didnt think radiant supported CoD, as all I've heard of is CoD builder...

Looks like there might be hope after all, I guess I should stay out of anything to do with CoD...

Hey, I have tried doing everything now. I deleted all lighting, all entities, made everything caulk texture and even deleted terrain meshes. It will not open with any program other than CODs Radiant. WHY!?!?!?
I want to start our doom3 mod soon but I really don't have the patience to remake my bunker map. Anyone able to help, Wyatt? :confused: [sad]

You've got to figure out how to make them compatible. It looks like alot of work too. Look at the two map formats in notepad.

Have you tried using the new version of GTK radiant yet? It is suppose to be compatible with doom 3.

I no longer have CoD installed here at work so I can't run some tests to figure out the conversion. sorry.

Hmm, well, I tried to see if they were compatible and it gives me Version Token Not found. Hmmm.. [confused] [ohwell] [cry]

foyleman yur smart do u know if u can select premade terrain in doom 3 editor without making 3ds crap?? [confused]

well.. you can select, copy and paste anything you want from one map to another.

To make terrain, just do it in the editor. You can draw out a large box and turn it into a simple patch. Then you can move points up and down to make it uneven like dirt.
