Well, my mom's dad was in the navy and I know he atleast went to england as well as a number of other contries in europe.
but then, being my mom's dad, he wasn't a Wilkinson.
Really I know very little about the Wilkinson side of the family.
But like I said, it's a common name around here.
There's acctualy a football player Named Dan Wilkinson. just google that name and look at my profile pic and you'll see, no relation.
In fact, just google Wilkinson and you get quite a lot of results.
There's apparently a number of buisnesses that use the name too.

The fact that this David was a scientist and worked for Prinston won't be as funny to yall since you don't know my Dave, but trust me, it's funny.

The background is much better.  I'd suggest doing something w/ that text, though.  Color, texture, effects... something.  The plain black is kinda boring.

So what kind of theme/style are you going for?  It's still not very 'sci-fi.'

Or you could just make the header at the top (logo/name/whatever) link back to the index.  Most people assume that anyway.

I agree with everyone that the look you've got right now and the look you say you are going for seem to be no where's near each other. I'm not sure what to suggest, since I'm not much of a web designer just a web developer.

Well I'm going for something that looks good as opposed to any particular style.

Yeah...  Thing is, you have to have some kind of style in mind, or it's just going to be a mess.  I'm not saying you have to fit your idea into a certain mold, but try to come up w/ something cohesive.  Not just 'I like this picture and I like this font, so I'll stick them together, whether it looks good or not.'

It's not that, I'm saying 'I like this picture & this font so I'll stick them together TO SEE IF they look good together.
you say "ancient Roman or 'urban'" and I have no idea what you're talking about.

I want something loose and free, a stript-ish font, for the name because I have messy handwriting.
But I can't use the same font for the rest, besides being repeditive, it would be hard to read.
but I need something that looks more interesting than arial.

I appriciate being told what doesn't look good but it would be more helpful if you gave some more specific suguestions because I'm just going off trial and error to find something that does.

And speaking of trial and error, I decided I didn't like the bricks so I tried this and I think it's much better.
