Okay, I recently reinstalled Soldier of Fortune. The last time I played it I don't remember having any problems at all.

But now I can play the for about 30 minutes, maybe less, and in the middle of a gun fight the sound gets choppy.
The game starts to skip and stutter like mad. I'm past the point of frustrated and I'm almost just ready to uninstall and say f*ck it.
But I love SoF and want to keep playing.

I'm playing Soldier of Fortune: Platinum Edition which is version 1.07. The highest version of the game that i know about. My system....

WinXP Home SP2
P4 3.0 HyperThreading w 800mhz FBS
2 gig PC-4200 DDR2 Ram 533mhz
ATi Radeon x800 GT
Sound Blaster Audigy 2

Everything is up to date and have had no problems with anything else. And as I said, I've played SoF before on this system with no problems.
My system is defragged, and I run AdAware and other spyware programs regularly.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Well, evern with no replys I fixed my problem.

I had to open up task manager and set afinity to I CPU. The game didn't like Hyperthreading.

This forum is dead, man. :p

Otherwise I'd ask if there were a way to force this game to not use OpenGL.

Nope, the OpenGL is built into the code.
