Hi there, I looked around for awhile and couldn't find my answer... Over the past few days our server has been crashing everyday around the same time frame. Our server is run on Unix and this is really the first time we have had problems with this. What usually happens:

Server will be on for about half a day, and around 3:00pm PST it gets flooded with requests and shuts down. Most common error we have been seeing is:
Code Sample
ERROR: Info_SetValueForKey: Oversize infostring

When I look at the server itself (not sof2 but the actual server) it seems to be flooded with connections to 20100 UDP (or the sof2 port we use). These floods are coming from different IPs each time.

Our first though was that these are DoS Attacks, but I am not 100% sure. If you need any other information let me know, Thanks again.

This is a known security bug in the Quake 3 engine and a lot of exploits a going around which abuse this.

You can download a fixed Linux sof2ded from our site:
http://www.shooter-szene.de/CmodsDo....9.phtml

Additional I suggest that you update to the latest OSP or ROCMOD (if you are using such a MOD).

I was able to use a different fix for this problem, http://www.securiteam.com/securitynews/5LP0D15EUE.html, that seemed to work just fine. Thanks again for your help.
