my motorola v600  only 2 months old decided to die on me this morning. keyboard just lights up for a  second or two

YES, that happened to me and they blamed it on water damage because there was a pink dot on the battery pack, but when I got my new phone it had the same pink dot, boy did I scream at them after that!  Didn't help thought.  Corporate America has failed me again.

it will be under warranty but, over here at least, motorola are notoriously bad at sorting out repairs under warranty. i had a nightmare time getting them ot repair a phone for my daughter. it took them almost a month to even arrange collection, then they sent it back unrepaired. useless bunch.  i'm hoping the store will just replace. guess i'll find out tomorrow.

I'll be sure not to get a Motorola.

It's usually not wise to base buying decisions on the happenings of one person, there will always be failures during a run of a product perhaps wolf got one of them.

I just got my first cell phone two days ago...

I've had a V60 Motorola for years.  It is as sturdy as a tank (while still being a small flip phone)... small but heavy.

I think the problem with current cell phones is that they try to pack them with features while making them as small and light as possible.

When I saw the topic title I thought it was someone talking about Mary or Jesus's image appear in their phones and then blood running down it.
