Hello all. I hope I can get some help here for my server.

im running rocmod on it and have not altered weapons stats.

the server is running in linux and eversince I fixed the mapcycle.mapcycle (to mapcycle.cfg) and since that has been done there is no more damage on the primary weapons and handguns. The secondary ones still do damage as do the knife and grenades.

I cannot include any cfg files yet becouse I have no acces to the server directly, I have to send the files thru msn to the server head admin.

What to do? where to look?

I can enter the used mapcycle lines beneath here. but no server.cfg

I've started from scratch now.

okay an update here. without loading a mapcycle the server would run forever on jor1 ctf. all weapons work.

I will put on a mapcycle somewhere this weekend and hopefully can close this topic.

ye ye... prolly... when they reply to it... in this case... there is none... Maybe If you guys started to really help me! This reply you made... didn't help me either...

neway I have the server up and running, but still no decent cycle, everytime I put it back on (it changes maps as wanted...) but the weapons still break down into shooting blanks...

Well you should start by removing the unneeded cvars from the mapcycle. Basically a mapcycle with a cvar set like this is fully sufficient:

ok this really sux hard... I cant handle this nemore, what else I try to it (less cvars etc) doesn't fix the weapons shooting blanks (e.g. no damage at all)

looking at my osp server... this is running fine... having lots of cvars! (some maps I want less weapons and more speed eg...)

Did I mention that the cycle works fine? (e.g. no errors in the server display box, it changes to all maps I put into it. It's the weapons that are shooting blanks)

It's very unlike that the mapcycle change is the source of the problem then, even if the problem started occuring after the mapcycle was changed.
I would recheck all pk3 files on the server, only a modified weaponfile (Can be within a custom pk3) can change the weapon behavior. Maybe it did come with a custom map?

I don't know, i have not put on any custom maps on rocmod yet. But the maps I want to be using do not contain any custom or original wpn file.

therefore I cannot blame a real damage mod, becouse the rocmod is left entirely intact...

hrm. Then I am running out of ideas. But a RD mod can also be unpacked in the file system, it doesn't have to be in a pk3 file, and you can set the weapon file by a cvar using rocmod, maybe this cvar was accidently changed?

i'm running on empty aswell... I have double checked everything. (note that there is nothing custom inside every folder for sof) exept pbweb.exe (we all  know what that does... don't we?)

so there is nothing there to point to a RD problem.

*** BTW... ***

what is that (A) in front of my (osp) server? I have this in front of my OSP server. Have seen it before years ago using sofrunner, but how do I remove it again? Im not using the runner anymore.

{edit} Ok I think I know what that (A) is for.. anonymous (1) I think... becouse setting it to (0) makes it dissapear
