Dude, I am having the EXACT same problem! But I use a 7800gt, with a gig of corsair pc3200 ram and an amd 64 3200+. Everything looks like it's been set on low. Anyone know how to fix this? I set everything to the highest settings and it STILL looks like low at 640x480. But I KNOW it looks better then this, before I upgraded from my fx 5900xt, it looked great, but framerates were sketchy.

I cannot tweak anything in settings always low quality and 640x480!!!

Do you just press the quality and resolution Tab or do you actually press the "quality" and "resolution" text? Pressing the Tab wont do anything you have to press the actual text to alter resolution and quality...

I just picked up the game. I tried updating to latest ForceWare, and VIA drivers. No luck. DoomIII works fine, even though it reports my video card as 64MB as well when I do autodetect. I can also manually adjust graphics settings in DIII, and they take. When I manually adjust my graphics settings in QIV, it stays at the same low resolution texture wise. I can adjust my resolution and that works, but everything else remains low quality. System: A64 3700+ 1GB PC3200 Asus K8VSE Deluxe Nvidia 6800GT 256MB w/81.94 ForceWare

Dunno what to say... I recently upgraded my video card from 4600 Ti to 6800 GS. Auto detect setting did 640x480 Low for my 4600 Ti. Auto detect setting did 800x600 High for my new 6800 GS. Only gained 10-12 more FPS on MP games, but still hurts allot on regular maps. Gets solid 63 fps on FPS maps pack or running Q4max .71 with vertex lighting turned on any map. com_videoram reads 256 just like it should.
